Showering Systems

We recommend the use of thermostatic showers available from a number of manufacturers including Mira, Redring and Triton. These have models available with extended hoses and rails for those who wish to shower while seated and have specially adapted controls for ease of use. These showers deliver a therapeutic pressure of water and have excellent temperature cut out features for added safety.

A Thermostatic mixer is an attractive option for the luxury bathroom and looks particularly attractive and unobtrusive in a wet floor bathroom.

Shower Trays and Screens

Specialist, slim line, shower trays are manufactured from reinforced glass fibre for extra strength. They can either be mounted on the bathroom floor to give low-level access (20-30mm step), or chased into the floor for a completely barrier free access to a showering space.

There is a wide range to choose from in terms of size and configuration, the simple rule of thumb being to choose as large a tray as possible to fit the scheme to maximise the bathing area and give the greatest freedom of movement in use.

Cubicles and Shower Toilets

Where a bathroom facility is required in a bedroom, or downstairs room, the shower cubicle may be a good option. These units can combine all of the bathroom facilities in a single unit and can be small-bore plumbed into your existing plumbing by our engineers. Whilst these cubicles do not offer the greatest of space, they do provide an economical solution in the provision of a downstairs facility when needed.

Shower Toilets

A shower toilet returns dignity and independence to those who experience difficulty in looking after this aspect of personal hygiene by incorporating a washing and drying facility to the toilet. Aquaneed can install this facility as a stand-alone item, or as part of a larger project as a replacement for the existing toilet.
